- University Libraries
- University Press
- LaunchNet
- May 4 Visitor Center
- Plans and directs budgeting, accounting, and compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Establish and enforce internal controls, workflows, and policies for tracking, reconciling, and reporting on business activities.
- Long-range planning / forecasting while also taking into consideration the strategic vision in mind for each department.

Job Responsibilities:
- Functional oversight of the University Libraries information technology portfolio.
- Oversees the configuration and management of KSUL ILS and specialty systems for services, including online reserves, interlibrary loan, discovery services, institutional repository, and digital collections.
- Lead administrator for the planning and execution of cooperative technology projects between UL and other University units including IT, KSOL, and others.
- Coordinates the creation and maintenance of locally-developed workflow applications.
- Oversees support of the UL's web sites by coordinating the management of local servers and applications and coordinating interconnections with the university’s content management system, third-party content management systems, and the library intranet.
- Coordinates the technology budget, inventory, deployment, and maintenance for all library areas including the library classrooms, public spaces, and staff workstations.
- Administrative oversight of collections development and management, including our collections budget.
- Administrative oversight of our Resource Innovation department, which includes e-resources management, acquisitions, serials, cataloging and metadata, resource sharing (interlibrary loan and course reserves), project management, and collection access and delivery services.
- Serves as the University Libraries facilities manager and head of learning space design.
- Functional oversight of the University Libraries information technology portfolio.

- Leads our team of subject liaisons and instructional librarians in providing library instruction, consultations, and workshops to Kent State students, faculty, and staff.
- Oversees our public service points at the main library and our branch libraries: Peforming Arts, Fashion, Architecture, and Map.
- Oversees our Stat Consulting Services and the Student Multimedia Studio.
- Oversees outreach and engagement activities, including events for prospective students and their families, as well as orientation and special events.
- Collaborates with campus partners to support learning and research at Kent State main campus.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as University Libraries' Equity Officer and supports the Libraries' IDEAL Council.
- Coordinates and guides Faculty Affairs within University Libraries.
- Contributes knowledge and experience on issues relating to faculty role and shared governance within the Libraries.
- Provides functional oversight of the reappointment, tenure and promotion processes for tenure-track faculty and the renewal and promotion processes for full-time non-tenure track faculty.
- Works with the Offices of Faculty Affairs and Academic Personnel regarding personal matters specific to faculty.
- Administers human resources and personnel functions with University Libraries.
- Processes online workflows and paperwork relating to human resources and personnel, including for new hires and separations.
- Manages faculty and staff searches within University Libraries.
- Works with campus and community organizations to develop relationships and collaborations.
- Represents University Libraries on the Kent State Votes Coalition and works to foster student voter registration and voting efforts.

- Oversees the University Press, the scholarly publisher of the university, including publishing program development, book production, marketing and promotion, and development and implementation of departmental policies;
- Acquires and evaluates book manuscripts; obtains reports from external peer reviewers and presents them to the Press's Faculty Editorial Board;
- Negotiates contracts with authors, agents, publishers, and other outside bodies;
- Oversees long-term planning to support Press growth, maximize efficiency, and practice responsible stewardship of resources;
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships between the University Press, other university departments, and the larger publishing community in support of the university's mission.

- Plans, implements and evaluates strategic marketing campaigns to further the mission and vision of University Libraries.
- Oversees the University Libraries Communications Department, including events, web and social media content, marketing, public relations, publications, internal communications and support for developmental activities and events.
- Collaborates with University Communications and Marketing and other university marketing groups to advance and communicate University Libraries' objectives.
- Promotes achievements of University Libraries faculty to position Kent State as a nationally prominent research university.
- Publicizes University Libraries' innovative programs, services, facility, events and collections.
- Engages with fellow members of the Universilty Libraries Dean's Cabinet for strategic planning and implementation.
