Systems
The Systems unit provides services to all nine campuses and has a tradition of being a technology leader for the University. It is composed of three teams that work closely with each other.
Integrated Library System Team: Manages KentLINK, the university's Innovative Interfaces system, and works with University Information Systems and OhioLINK to make integration with other systems as seamless as possible. Supports OCLC Connexion. Provides support for Ares (electronic reserves). Coordinates submission of electronic theses and dissertations with our graduate schools and the OhioLINK ETD Center.
Development Team: Develops and maintains a wide variety of web sites, web programming applications, and a staff intranet. Builds specialized tools and services for library patrons and staff. Automates routine system maintenance tasks.
Desktop Team: Manages network authorizations. Procures, deploys, and maintains hardware and software for workstations and library classrooms on the Kent campus.
