About 238 years ago, the Founding Fathers signed the document that would eventually become the law of the land. To commemorate Constitution Day, the University Libraries offered educational programs and invited a featured speaker Sept. 17, 2025.

Located in the Harrick Garden Room, the event program tackled equal protection under the law, focusing on collegiate athletics and the 14th Amendment as it relates to Title IX. 

I am happy to share that Kent State University Libraries, along with all OhioLINK libraries, has successfully upgraded to a new shared software system to support teaching, learning and research. This on-time and on-budget project was the culmination of more than two years of planning and collaboration and marks an extraordinary milestone for statewide shared services.

Our collective community tells the story of May 4, 1970, at Kent State University. What happened, who was where and what did they feel? Established in 1990, the May 4 Oral History Collection includes more than 200 firsthand accounts that give researchers a more thorough understanding of the events of May 4 and the surrounding days and years.
